Is DDR3 really a lot faster?

is it a lot faster?

is it even more faster in tripple cannel/ dual channel / single channel?

and how much do the frequencies affect performance? :confused:

i wouldnt really say so... time will tell.

rumours say that intel used triple channel because of its inability to use DDR3 in high frequencies and voltgaes in i7 set ups.

i remember someone telling my the actual performance difference in DDR3 systems now(not nehalem systems) compared to DDR2 is an improvement of only 5-8%. something stupid like that anyway.

I read this aswell... some applications saw no improvement at all!
