Is drinking at this time bad?

lol here we go. If you can do a better job, come on ahead my friend.

You really think that because you are a civil servant you do not have a life?

Or if your in helping out your unit when you could be at the pub, and that a tin or two while looking over statements is shocking?

No more shocking than when I take work / reports home to look at, funnily enough with a beer not too far away..

lighten up for christ sakes

and actually, this was at no direct cost to the tax payer. It was on flexi time, not authorised paid overtime. That help you sleep at night a little more?

I'm on my second tin of Tennents, and its only 10.13. The office fridge has some 40 cans so thats what I'm blaming it on. I am getting myself prepared for this afternoons Scotland match.

My Senior Officer has just come in and seen the tins lined up on my desk :p

My excuse is I'm doing them a favour and I'm not normally in at weekends unless rota'd in.

She made some comment about drinking at this time of the morning - is it that bad, honestly? (Not that she can speak, she an alchy big style)

Depends on if you do that sort of thing every morning...if you do then you have problems and should go get some help. If not ie once in a while then i cant see the problem with it.
Personally i really cant understand how people can drink that foul rancid drink first thing in the morning....
