I'm on my second tin of Tennents, and its only 10.13. The office fridge has some 40 cans so thats what I'm blaming it on. I am getting myself prepared for this afternoons Scotland match.

My Senior Officer has just come in and seen the tins lined up on my desk :p

My excuse is I'm doing them a favour and I'm not normally in at weekends unless rota'd in.

She made some comment about drinking at this time of the morning - is it that bad, honestly? (Not that she can speak, she an alchy big style)

Sounds like a great idea if you want an early morning brawl ;)

My college days revolved around going to my mates pad and drinking anything and everything 15mins after his mum left the house at about 8:45am, so it's not that early really. I would only have been awake for ~45 mins at that point.

I look back upon it and realise how bad an idea it was though, trying to negotiate busy roads without traffic lights during rush periods whilst walking to college whilst more than half cut. Wasn't clever!

/edit:

As you're drinking Tenants, you're location should read:

"Under yesterday's Daily Sport on park bench".

:p

drinking at this time isnt bad....drinking tennants at this time is though! seriously theres nothing wrong with this unless you do it everyday.

Where do you work that you can sit in the office at 10am and drink lager?

Got any jobs going? :p

I'm a Customs Officer, so drinking on the job almost goes hand in hand :D

just in playing catchup with paperwork that I haven't been able to attend too

Thank you very much guys, while I do feel tipsy I don't feel bad now :)

Yes it's too early and yes it's bad. The road to alcoholism and a hefty beer gut begins the day you start drinking in the morning. :p

Its not bad at all we all do it! Whats the difference between drinking now and drinking later?! NONE :p Besides the pubs open soon anyhoo!

I don't often start drinking at this time of the morning, for a start it isn't unusual for me to still be half-cut from the night before ;) but as long you aren't making a habit of it then I don't see a problem with it. I've done it before more than once and I'm a (relatively speaking) normal and well-balanced individual - which just means for a Scotsman that I have a chip on both shoulders. :)

It's all very funny but, your on your second can of alcohol at work?

Shouldn't the main question be - why are you drinking alcohol at work?

read the post first then, cause its Scotland playing today and I said I'd do some work today. So I'm getting started in the office as I'm going to meet friends in the pub after 12...

and make that my fourth can, not bad one can per hour :)
