Is Dual Link DVI only way to get 120Hz from a Monitor?

If so looking at AMD cards (specifically 7950’s) the only manufacturer seeming to offer a Dual Link DVI port is Sapphire? Any reason for this as would think it would be standard by now.

Cheers

All the 7950s have at least one DL DVI socket on them.

(I use two 7950s and have a 120 Hz monitor as well as a super high res monitor)

Ok maybe I am confusing 2 x DVI port with 1 x Dual Link DVI port – so dual link is actually a single physical port?

The MSI, HIS and ASUS 7950 specs (at least on OCUK) do not list dual link DVI whereas Gigabyte (which I misread earlier) and the Sapphire do.
