Is ebay slow?

Looks like I might have todo a format then, as Ive got rid of all the temp net files and scanned for viruses/malware, but still it keeps pausing for some reason. I wouldnt mind but I do online banking and purchase stuff of the net and I dont want any dodgy goings on.

Ok guys, Ive just reinstalled and I use firefox for my default browser, but Im getting a very odd prob. When I download stuff, it downloads at full speed for about 20-30secs and then grinds to a halt. Any ideas why?

ebay still isnt right, and actually its the whole net Basically it pauses when opening pages, but not all the time. So now Ive run out of ideas of solving it?

Tried switching your DNS servers?

You mean put my primary dns to secondary and secondary to primary in the tcp/ip?

After doing some research of the net into DNS servers and finding out I can change my ISP's DNS servers. Im trying google DNS servers, and atm everything is nice and fast again, but knowing my luck it wont stay put for long... Like it starts loading a page and stops half way through or it dont load at all, so you need to refresh the page.

GoogleDNS spanks TTDNS. :)

Still no diff guys, I just dont know whats wrong with it, as the downloads are fine, it just pauses when loading up pages.

Ive given my router about 10 reboots tonight and re entered all my data, so we will see how that goes now.

EDIT:
Nvm, I don't think my suggestions would help in this case.

EDIT x2:
Have you checked the microfilters (presuming you use them, which you should)?
Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the attenuation for your downstream a bit too high? What's the SNR ratio?

I have 1 of these installed, so no need for a filter

Im not sure about the attenuation, but Ive noticed that my noise margin been going up and down loads for the downstream these last few months and it wont go as low as it use to be anymore. it has even gone as high as 19. so I cant get my normal 5-6mb downsteam now. At the moment the noise margin is at 17 with downstream of 3.7mb:(

Ahh, one of the reasons I won't use ADSL unless I have to. Maybe your connection just isn't fast enough for eBay's content? Probably sounds silly... but there are quite a few images on eBay, and they may be what's causing it to load slowly. I've got a 20mbps connection, and it loads reasonably fast.

Its like it with any site and it only pauses when it feels like it during loading up a page. Then you need to either wait ages or refresh the page. Like at the moment it isnt pausing at all, but all of a sudden it will stop half way through loading a page.
