Is Eyefinity worth it?

This is for the people who have eyefinity, I apreciate the opinions of those who don't but I really need a good solid arguement to convince my gf to let me get this, she doesn't understand why you'd need 3 monitors and says that if I get it then I have to buy her 3 TV's. I tried to explain to her that it's not the same but without any success!

Would 3 cheap monitors like these ones work alright?

You have NVDIA surround? Is it good? I was wondering about this, seems cheaper to buy a 3D pair of glasses then 3 monitors + 2 good ATI cards.
