I've been waiting since 12 (It was OK) for a mildly entertaining game from Square Enix...where are the games? :(

Since apparently there will be no new news of FF XV at E3, im losing what little patience i have remaining.

Wasn't Lightning Returns released recently? I know its not part of the main series but maybe they are just taking their time with the next since most people haven't enjoyed the last few.

It's a shame there was only one unique series game on the PS3 because I'm playing FFX- HD on my Vita and the gameplay holds up really well even today. In fact I think I've put in about 70 hours over the past 2 weeks . Blitzball is a bit of a drag after the first league season because you're so far levelled past anybody else but really enjoying it.

I don't think they have to do anything special or 'next-gen' for a FF game. Just make the core gameplay and mechanics fun with a good story. Again, a real shame 13 and the spin offs were the only one.

PS1 has what 3? PS2 has 2. PS3 had 1 :(. I've got 13-2 and 13-3 to play still but after 13 I wasn't really overly enthused about picking them up but I will play through at some point.

They were on a roll with Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 6 and 7. They've had a few decent games since then, but the magic's been gone for a long time. Squaresoft were in their prime on the snes, and they were glorious.

I shall stay cautious as to me that article just seems to justify redundancy, but ill believe it's concept for now.

I just don't understand how publishers can expect a gamer to wait so damn long though.

I watched games of e3 2013 game trailers video on youtube yesterday and it had a bit about FF 15, and some gameplay footage, so maybe check that out.

Waiting for FF XV to see if its any good. If its not FF goes into the many game series that I will no longer be following. FF X was the last decent game in the series.

Final Fantasy has not been great since 6, even thou 7 broke the western market they been designing for and chasing the western market which has been making them poorer with each release, and the game is not the same IP as it was in the past.

Bravely Default looks more like final fantasy than final fantasy now does.
