I can't help but notice that these days you don't actually need to put any effort into typing what you need to search for.

Say you want to search for "frisky zebras"...

Bash you head three times on keyboard, resulting in "shdghskdjgh".

Showing results for "frisky zebras". Click here to show results for "shdghskdjgh".

Scary.



That was obviously an exaggerated example, please don't bother actually trying it.

Everytime you do a search it learns what you like. If you have a gmail account then every email you send or receive keywords it stores. If you search for something on Youtube then it remembers what you search for. etc.

Pretty much, Chrome also gathers quite a lot of data...

That's why I don't use it, or search for anything whilst logged in.

I use Iron instead, it seems faster than Chrome and also give you some privacy, especially once adblock.ini is working properly..
