Is is ok to ask why?

i guessed as it was with a local goverment, then they already knew who they wanted in the positin, but beouse of all the rules and such, meant they had to open the appplication up, whilst they were really going through the motions.

We all know it happens, just it narks me off that I attended 3 interviews for it, i asked for a written debrief, which is within my rights as its documention relating to me, held by a goverment funded body.

Spiteful that someone had to actually produce paper work and quantify why, whilst not digging them a hole.

Interview feedback can often be as important as the interview itself.

I will try and speak to the person that interviewd me, often spending longer on the feedback than the interview itself.

That way, the pressure is off both of us (or more - I'm often interviewed by up to 5 people), and it keeps you right in there mind should they need somebody else, or the successful applicant is useless.

it's fine to ask for feedback after an interview. infact, id ask whther i got in or not.

what was i good / bad at
what made you choose me over others

by all means get in touch with them, ive done it a few times and to be honest i dont think they would say no to any feedback, whether you get the truth is a different matter though. more likely to be fobbed off tbh
