Is it a scam help

Just thinking aloud here, but I expect there are ways to reduce risk, e.g.
- Set up a video call with them where you ask them to hold up their driving licence.
- Ask them for their name and address, and say you will post them a code and ask you to phone them with the code when they get it. Then you know who you're dealing with.
- Could use an escrow ac but this will have charges.
- Their bank may be able to help in some way, to verify that the transfer is genuine.

If they refuse any of the above, it's likely to be a scam.

Whatever, it has a high likelihood of being a scam, so I would proceed with caution.

Set up another online account.. Monzo or something tell him to transfer into that then transfer out into your savings.

That's probably called money laundering/fraud or somethiing? If you knowingly presume it's dodgy money...oops
But he doesn't know its dodgy and wont know until a bank flags it.

Or revolut it. Or even better do what the scammers do and western union it

"why did you set up a new account just for one transaction"

errr...errr.errr..errr :D
I didn't say close it straight after.

I hope its not dodgy having more than one account. I've 7 (not including business ones).... I shall expect a knock on the door.

OP could keep the V5. tell the guy hes sent it off. Then if the money is a scam, call the police saying its been stolen. As it has been

Constantly calling giving excuses

This is a black flag.

It’s a bit under hand, but you could offer to deliver the car to them (even if it’s not true) and see what they say.

If they don’t want you to conveniently deliver the car to them, they are up to something.

Outside of this, genuine question.

I presume you've never had to worry about putting your details all over the internet?

If so, could I take your name, ethnicity and who you bank with please?
Mothers maiden names? first pet name?

I have sent pics video it's a l200 barberion £9000

I'll be honest, I wouldn't want to walk about with 9k of cash and going to meet a stranger at their home..

Your best bet is to meet somewhere in the middle where there's a bound to be plenty of people and there's a bank onsite.
Now a days, selling/buying anything online has it's risks. A lady told me straight that she didn't want me knowing where she lived; thou we lived in the same village and wants to meet at the local supermarket... she will flash her headlights.. this was for a £90 games console.. lol

The we have this young girl who told me where she lived; even thou I suggested we can do it during the day.. she was fine with me coming in the middle of the night then when I got there, she told me her parents was on holiday and she was alone for the next two weeks... Girl..you're luckly that the parole board tells me that I've reformed. lol..
