I know I'm being naive, thinking you can get an iPad 64GB for $450 dollars per unit. However, they're accepting payments via paypal so i'm thinking, what what exactly can I lose?

I found the ad on craigslist and the guy replied saying it was a company, a wholesale one based in the US.

Company details:
NEXT GENERATION PHONES
Address: 4320 Falcon St
City: Sandiego
State: California
Zip code: 92103
Country: USA

License number:9000024

No reference to the company on google :/
Address doesn't really seem to check out when in google street view
And the clincher, buy 2 and get one free.

Normally I would say scam instantly, however, what exactly have I got to lose if I pay via paypal?

The guy said that he buys them in bulk straight from Apple (he said california so I presumed apple) and I know Apple spend next to nothing making them so I guess I could see how it works.

I am soooo confused?!

Help?

the price is the obvious one...

why would a 'businessman' throw so much potential profit away ?

only greedy gits fall for these scams. and you have lots to lose via paypal , by the time you realise the iPad isn't on its way across the atlantic he will of emptied the account and paypal do nothing

But won't paypal give me all of my money back?

I am useless with paypal. That's why i'm asking you guys. What would paypal actually do?

if the money was in his account they would do a chargeback and give you it back

if the money had been taken out they would send him fake debt collector letters for about a year (we will be coming for the money next week etc etc when in reality its a man in an office and they have no actual door to door collectors), followed by some fake debt collector phone calls , after that i don't know

and this is through ebay... i imagine they are even worse on outside of ebay claims

Oh come on now...

Lol, what I thought

Save up some more and buy an iPad 2 rather than losing what you've got now and being depressed.

I'll just buy an iPad 1 off the MM.

I've asked him for a pic with a current newspaper and handwritten notes with the iPad's.

But I really want this to be real, even though i doubt it :(. The typos were the thing that concerned me a lot aswell.
