Morning all,
I'm running an E6700 @ 3.5GHz & on the 10x multi, this means a bus speed of 350MHz and a ram speed of 700 MHz. On this Asus board the next option up for the ram is to run at 950 MHz. The ram will do this with a little more juice if I slacken the timings off slightly, but is it worth it?
Do these core 2 duo chips enjoy any benefit from running this ram this fast? I was of the opinion that intel chips prefer the ram and FSB to run in sync with each other, ie 1:1.
Any ideas folks?
