Ok, Ive just finished installing my PA120.3 rad & Fuzion block but now the comp wont boot, wont even post. Im using a DFI NF4 SLI DR board with the 4 diagnostic lights. All 4 on means no CPU detected. 3 means no RAM. 2 is checking for VGA and 1 means its starting to boot.

Before I changed it all, the opteron 185 and 2Gb OCZ posted fine. Now, it wont go past 4 lights. Ive swapped the CPU and it goes to 3 lights but then no further. I also tried some RAM I have and it still wouldnt go past 3 lights. The RAM and CPU I used work taken from this machine fully working.

My questions/help is - Is the CPU goosed? Will a CMOS clear make any difference? (already tried but not sure if I left it long enough). Could the RAM be goosed & if so is OCZ covered by a lifetime warranty.

Anything anyone could suggest would be a great help as I know it used to be a popular board so im hoping someone can help.

Did you use plastic washers between the nuts and bolts and the board?

Also the bolts or the waterblock itself may be too tight and are shorting the board.

Things go from bad to b%$#^y worse, Ive now lost the clear cmos jumper and instruction booklet for the board has gone walk about!!

Ive tested both sets of RAM in another machine and it works fine.

Im wondering if a static shock I got off the case today has anything to do with it though i cant understand why the cpu doesnt work as it wasnt even in the board?

As regerds the bolts, no washers as its using the original DFI plastic bracket and it wasnt too tight as it has stops.

WANTED - DFI NF4 board :D

I can do you a DFI RDX board with a knackered sata controler and a 148 stuck in it... (i havnt the heart to bork it by pulling it out)

On a serious note if you got a static shock off your case you could well have taken something out.... Have you tried the cpu on another board??

Also (assuming you unplugged the psu whilst installing the watercooling kit) is it all back in the right places? :P

Unfortunatly I havnt got another board to try the CPU in and the power was out when I was putting it all together. I got the shock when it was powered on leak testing some joints but the CPU wasnt in the board. The RAM was but ive tested that in another computer and its working fine.

AAAARRGGHH !!!!

Its driving me  and the wifes gona kill me if Ive killed the computer. She certainly wont let me spend any more on it after what its cost over the last 6 weeks.
