Is it going to limit me

Hi,

looking at building my new computer (see my last thread in this sub forum), it has an 8800gt included in the spec. howeve, currently i have a dell 19" silver widescreen monitor.

Will this limit how good the graphics can look in my games? it's max res is 1440*900 if that helps. Would it be worth upgrading my monitor if i have about £160 extra to spend?

That will be fine dude.

Looking at the res its widescreen which is what you want.

If you were to upgrade from that i would say goto a 24" so not worth it.

It won't limit how good your graphics look in game per se (assuming that it isn't just a hopeless monitor to begin with), it will simply limit the resolution of the graphics and lower resolution should equal faster framerates. £160 probably isn't enough to make a major difference, I'd agree with Datamonkey although if you can save up then it would be worth considering going larger.
