Is it just a case of plug and play

When changing over a Radeon amd card for example for a performance upgrade .... What steps do you need to do when the card has been changed and your restart your computer.

Can anyone run through the steps will the system automatically recognise the new graphics card.

Sorry if this sounds like a silly question.

Turn computer off, take out old and put in new. Turn computer back on, half the time if its the same brand of card and the drivers are on your computer they will install automatically. Restart and you're done :) If not, just run the driver installer and go from there, no point mucking about with uninstalling/deleting, do that if you get a problem...hassle otherwise ;) :D

Ok yeah great, thanks for the advice .... I will more than likely go with the amd Radeon series to keep it simple. From an R7 250 to an R9 270
