Right i have a nice machine E6600 Conroe, 2GB ram, x1900 gfx. The game runs well, looks nice and sounds nice even in a raid.

However since EoF i have had all sorts of little problems, NPCs not appearing on time, combat stoping halfway through and the mob resetting, somehow the game makes my router drop connection for a short whil 2-4 secs then kicks back in most of the time the game continues ok sometimes kicks me to character select screen. And recently i have had a couple of CTD.

I notice they have done a quick fix to make the NPCs render faster, which is good, but how about the rest of it, anyideas?

The main confusion for me is with the router. Ill be halfway through combat and ill notice things have stopped, ill look at my netgear router and the little orange light is blinking. Please note that this is the only time it ever does this. I have not seen the orange light at anyother point.

Ah well, suppose id better do some work.. But ill be back to see what you all think.

Thanks
Zero.

I have a very similar setup to yourself, but I haven't noticed the connection problems - apart from NPCs only appearing at the last second. That same problem has been repeated among a number of my guildmates - strangely, all the people who recently upgraded to Conroes have the problem, but that has to be coincedence. The last patch mentioned that it was looking at that problem and they'd hoped it was better which, I admit, it has been the last few days.

Mines been fine too. Noticed that Faydwer is a bit harder on the graphics card with all the trees and stuff, but no actual bugs as such.

I actually find it really polished these days.

Maybe there are ports you need to open on the router for EQ2? Never had to myself mind you, but it's the only thing I can think of that would cause problems solely with EQ.

What is the blinking light on the router? Is is just a network traffic light or the DSL sync light or what?
