Is it just me? (Stiff keyboard after use)

This might seem like a strange question and I'm wondering if it's just me who notices it.

When I buy a new keyboard, the buttons are very soft and nice to type with, but after a few weeks of use, the buttons become hard? Has anyone else noticed this? If so, what causes the keys to go hard?

Hardly a cheap keyboard tbh, mine is a G15.

My brothers G15 is fine, still feels good as new.

I haven't spilt anything in it, and all of my previous keyboards have been the same. Maybe I'm just paying too much attention to small detail.
