or does HL2 deserve to be played more than twice!

this is my third time playin it and im sure ill play it again. half way through ravenhome! its one of the few games that i have actually played and upon completion wanted to play again. Max Payne's are good too.

I played it a 2nd time on "Hard as nails" before ep1 came out. Not sure i could do a 3rd. Maybe if i get a really nice highspec PC and want to test the puppy out.

Only played HL2 once, probably because my computer doesn't run it too great and CS:S kinda took over..

I agree with playing Max Payne more than once though, I love that game!

Yeah HL2 was amazing, only SP game iv completed more than once on my pc ever!

Oh and Max Payne was really good too (thinking about reinstalling later ) :D

I can't even work my way through it once, i've tried twice as well :(

I loved Half Life 1 and Farcry as well, don't know whats wrong with me lol.

id love to play maxpayne 2 again but it looks poo on my monitor as it doesnt support widescreen and i cant change the screen res in the config file.

might have to steal my 19" crt off my dad again, hmmmmm??

I have to say that, assuming you don't do it too ofter, Max Payne 2 is tremendous fun to replay - I'd say every 9 months or so. The atmosphere and plot is fantastic.

When I look at my game collection, I'm struck by how much I've spent on games which I've barely played at all - vast majority of my time's been spend on literally a dozen games or so. If only I knew which ones before buying :)

Had to play through HL2 again on the new 2407. It's a totally different experience in widescreen. Can't help but feel a bit lonely after playing tons of multiplayer games though.

Rent them out before you buy??

I know what you mean tho because im the same ;)

I've been stuck on one bit of HL2... been there for about 9 months and haven't touched it. It is impossible. I only have 7 health left. I suppose I could go back to an earlier save game... hmmm...

Yeah I wanted to play through HL2 again on my new rig so I installed it but the AI kept getting disabled and I had to reset it everytime I died. I wasn't too fussed but now after the whole ant lion bit just before you get the bait I can't seem to go through a door to follow a vortegon. It's like an invisible barrier is there :(

I've played it three times already and will probably do so sometime again. Put simply, its one the best games of all time in my books and has quite a bit of replay value for an fps. What would really be cool, is if it got a HDR makeover; the HDR in EP1 is just sweet.

I've played it a few times already but shall probably play it again when it becomes available on the consoles. Will wait and see which version (360 or PS3) is better.

i play it everytime i upgrade my hardware. first of all played on a 9800pro, then an x800pro @ xt pe. i suspect i may well play it again when i get an x1950pro in a few weeks time. :D

Well it's clearly not just you, but I haven't touched the game after completing it. It's a good game, but there are so many good games out there that I end up trying something new most of the time rather than playing an old game again. The only games I've come back to after completing in recent years are:

Need for Speed: Porsche 2000
Max Payne
Far Cry
