hi again,

well... i would have loved to make a thread how nice my new system has been, but well... its not.

if you read past my previous threads, you should know i had a lot of problems before. and many returns and RMA's...

well... after finally getting another (3rd) PSU,
and my 4th motherboard, along with a number of other new parts.

i "had" my new system working for a few days, i didnt bother to turn off in the night as i was downloading updates for everything, since i had to do a new re-install.

now... last night i turned it off, and woke up this morning to my horror! that again its doing the same ****** problem again!

everything POWERS UP! and spins like mad, but NO POST!!!

this kills me, every single time i dont hear a bleep or dont no signal on the monitor! let alone actually ever getting to see the BIOS!

ANYWAY!
i have tried to clear CMOS and all, but nothing still will NOT POST!
i was having so much fun with world in conflict last night, now i wish i never turned the pc bloody off!!!

pc's.... are doing my head in!!!

i dont believe in god... so i guess yea

oh yea... just took it outside of its case, and it started... even though everything was green! and could hardly read the bios info.

put it back in its case... NO POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe you arent fixing the mobo on correctly, and its shorting against the backplate or sumot? Just a thought

have you kept to the same modle of mobo?

try a change of mobo

and try the above post.

if your case doesnt have risers built onto the tray you need to use the screw in ones.

sorry i havnt posted my spec in the first post,
as i posted it so many times before, i didnt bother. maybe i should make a sig for my spec on the rotator.

anyway!
i put it all back in its case,
disconnected everything, till i found the fault!

which is causing it not to POST.

guess what it is...

MY XFI-FATAL1TY 64mb sound card

now... the problem is... why is that doing it.
i do notice that the red light on the side is like there logo, (but looks like a power sign, electrical sign) maybe... its not getting enough power to it, so that might be causing it not to post..

either way, i found the source of the problem, now i have to try and fix it.

but I LOVE THAT CARD! must get it to work!

woot! again! woot!

think i solved it,
and *touch wood* all my pc problems,

my Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Pro Series pin was bent on my card only very very slightly, but it was causing it NOT to POST!

so, i will have to keep a eye to make sure, but hopefully all done now
