Is it just me....

I don't understand the hate for the Hartge wheels. The design hasn't changed for over 15 years. I think they look great

It's just you, its 4 years old from a non BMW dealer and almost at the mileage where the BMW warranty is almost 2k a year.

Will these threads stop when the reality that you are just going to use your car allowance to PCP another diesel sinks in? :p

Yep, just you. Its near £30k for an incredibly thirsty non approved estate car with some aftermarket bling rims. Doesnt appeal at all.

I thought they may be.

I keep telling him that with this sort of budget and financing option a 911 is where it is at even if he just runs it for a year.

We were looking over the 6 series brochure the other night and it has people playing golf and fencing in it. Whilst the car may be nice surely not the right image.

dammit! I actually really want it

Why is choosing a prospective new car, when you actually have no criteria, so hard?

Well you do mate, you want something special yet practical. Everything I suggest doesn't have enough seats or boot space for all the sweets ;)

911 or Z4 35i or Z4M

So whats the budget, £27k (This M5) or £60k (A new 6 Series)? Quite a variation in budget there, it sounds to me like he doesnt really know what he's doing, how can anyone have a budget that varied?!

It's a company car anyway isnt it? Which is why he got a 530d last time and will therefore almost certainly end up back in another 530d once the reality sinks in that the rest of these suggestions are a bit daft for a company car

I think its about the car not the budget on this one although a 6 seems to be a realistic limit.

Sounds like he has no idea - hmm should I buy a 4 year old used car older than the one I currently have, or a brand new completely different car thats more than double the price, decisions decisions :p

Then it is OcUKs mission to help him find something. Anything in the Audi or Merc stable worth considering?

When he doesnt know what he wants there is something in every stable potentially.

There needs to be a budget and a criteria set, otherwise he might as well not ask for advice as its impossible to give.
