Is it my keyboard?

Right guys, turned on the main system to find that I couldn't type my password at login. The only keys that seem to respond are Function (Microsoft Multi) and Num Lock. Caps don't work? And no other keys.

Keyboard is old, going to pick one up tomorrow when out. Just wondered if there is a possibility of it being the motherboard header?

Stuck with lappy now..
