Is it normal to get 'attached' to your hardware?

It's time to finally put the old P4 into retirement. (looong overdue already).

However, i almost felt quite saddened by the whole idea, this old P4 has put very nearly 500 hours of gameplay on BF2 without any problems.

So i fired up BF2 again and gave it a good send off before it gets dismantled the following morning.

Does this sound normal or do i need to get out more? :D

Mate my Pentium D 820 is still in my room for no other purpose than it was my first build and served me faithfully, it still runs fine... except for the noise and heat. You definately remember the good 1s! :D
