is it ok to do this ?

ive rearranged my room round and want to mount my 5.1 creavie speakers on the wall.
thing is the wires for the rear 2 speakers are not quite long enough.
is it ok to just get some audio cable and join cable to the existing cable making it longer ? will i loose any quality if it is ok to do this ?

Will be fine as long as you make a neat job of it.

Solder joins wrapped in heatsink is the best option, followed by some crimped spade connectors, but twist wires together and wrap in electrical tape, as long as its twisted well for good contact is fine.
