Hi all..

i am doing a new build and i thought about dropping the voltage of my E6300
i OC it to 2.1 and dropped the volts to 1.0 and tat says the temp is 28c

is this ok?
will it cause any thing bad to happen? or is theer any thing i should watch out for ?

thanks for your time

Test for stability, thats the only bad side effect of undervolting, you get a cooler and longer lasting cpu otherwise. I've got a E6600 @ 3.1Ghz 1.2v and E6750 thats doing 2.66 @ .95v atm.

thanks Justintime
i thought it may hurt the chip lol

i have put the volts up to just over 1 volt
what do you test it with ? FPS games or an app

thanks

funksteruk2 whats your temps now?

i have ran some fps games and for some reason the cpu dont move I.E
at desktop its [email protected] i play Oblivion for an hour and the cpu is still
at 30c  looks like the 8800gts is doing all the work in games :D

as long as i can get my e6300 to 2.4 i am happy now i know that the GTS will do its job..
