Is it OK to put my monitor on top of my receiver?

The receiver is a Denon AVR-X2200W which has vents/a grill on top that looks quite thin. It gets quite hot when it's on.
The monitor is an AOC G2460PF which weighs 6.3 Kgs and the base would probably cover about half of the top of the AVR so it could block some of the hot air coming out.

I'm just not sure if it would do any damage to either device in the long term.
Anyone else done something similar?

So with the riser giving some clearance for the vents do you think the receiver would be ok with that weight?

Only you could know that when you place it on there.

I had my VM Tivo box sat on my Denon AVR for years using some rubber door stops at each corner to give the Tivo an inch of clearance over the vents in the AVR though I hardly ever run the AVR at anything over half power.

Now there's a BT tv box sat there and all good.

I guess if you're concerned about the weight of the monitor then you could try using longer risers to help spread the weight of the monitor over more of the surface area of the AVR.
