Is it OK to use another set of XMS 3 memory?

I have ASUS P8Z77-V motherboard and I have XMS 3 8GB memory. But I need 16GB because I do 3D rendering and my scene takes up enormous amount of memory. I know it's not safe to mix-match memory.

Will it be safe to buy another set of XMS 3 8GB and stick them?

This is the memory I currently have. I'm thinking of buying of the exact same one again so it totals 16GB

They should work together but depending on the strength of the memory controller on your CPU, you may have to relax the timings a bit.

I had to increase the DRAM voltage a bit with my two 8GB kits of Vengeance RAM. I was having loads of crashes and Memtest86+ kept failing on random sticks when all four were in place. Tweaked the voltage, ran Memtest for 10hrs with no errors and it's been solid ever since.

I've got a second set coming in a few days. Ill let you know, to be fair, my 8GB kit runs at 1600MHz at 1.65v (stock), which is already quite high in my opinion, so i think that there should be enough voltage pumping through it.

Who says it's not safe to mis-match memory?

I have 16GB of Patriot Signature Line 1333MHz and 8GB of Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz running together at matched speeds (1600MHz) matched timings (9-9-9-24) and matched volts (1.5v) and everything is absolutely fine.
