Is it on the way out (360)?

I have a launch 360 and so far it has only had a few problems (freezing when loading the music menu in game a few times) which appeared to be fixed by a few dashboard updates.

However today I was playing PGR4 and noticed quite a few graphical glitches going on, which I am hoping is just poor game coding. I saw a few black rectangles randomly floating as I came round some bends, then when I loaded up the next level I saw a rainbow coloured square by my speedo which didn't go away so I turned the console off.

Is PGR4 a buggy game or is it the console itself producing the errors? I haven't really played the 360 much since it came out, completed PGR3 + COD2 + GOW, but never really got into anything else. However since boxing day I have been hammering Guitar hero 3 and PGR4 for a couple of hours almost every day. Are launch consoles still being repaired foc?
 
If it fails without a 3RoD error I shall get out my felt tip and correct the problem ;)

In all seriousness if it failed could I pay extra and get an elite or do they only repair the console sent in?

My Xbox failed, constant display corruption so I went out and bought another one. Came home and set it up and got to playing on it, later on I tried the other one again and it was still borked. I took out my frustration by kicking it into a wall, at which point it dutifully began working again and has been fine ever since.
 
Mines started giving graphical glitches in the past few days, noticed it a lot in PGR 4 and its started happening in COD 4 too. Just waiting for it to pack up at the moment. Keeps flicking green, purple or red throughout the screen.

I do seem to find PGR 4 crashes a lot when using the guide. Thought it was down to the problems Ive been having graphically but Im sure I remember PGR 3 being the only other title that ever caused me problems like that too.
 
It could be on it's way, but, mine gave a few graphical glitches just like that whilst playing Bioshock (ages ago when it came out). I turned it off for a while and didn't see them again. Then I went through PGR4 and COD4 and still fine.

I even bought a 'hot-spare' 360 incase it failed when PGR4 came out - still in the cupboard.

So you may be ok...
 
Exactly the same here. Glitches in my case was Assassins Creed.

A few days later it would boot up with sound but no picture.

Called Micrsoft and even though it's about 18 months old they are currently repairing it for free.
 
Well it's still going, after another 10 hours of playtime.

At the moment I am getting a few glitches in PGR4 and random heavy slowdown in guitar hero, but I don't know if thats just sloppy coding.
 
i was playing on gh3 for a good few hours solid with no slowdowns what so ever, its not sloppy coding, just sloppy console production.
