hi,

aint got much cash at the moment, but trying to find info on if its possible to build a pc for my kids on a £300 budget, they mainly play minecraft and world of warcraft!

i already have a spare monitor :)

many thanks for any info given

thanks,

i have windows so im cool on that but cheers about the systems just been looking and a lot of nice priced but wow there's so many lol, any that you could recommend with hopefully not on board graphics... prob only need a mouse and keyboard after do they come with leads

I wouldnt rule out onboard for now im playing wow on a the onboard from my hd4000 waiting till after xmas to be able to afford a gpu and it easily plays 5 mans 30+ fps on fair graphics settings (never below 60 fps @ 1680 x 1080 when questing although it feels twitchy when flying around places) to give you some idea i paid £320 and bought the following.

Retail i5 3750k cpu
8gb corsair vengeance black ram
gigabyte z77 d3h mobo
nzxt 210 case
ocz modxtreme 500w psu

although you would need a mouse keyboard and hdd that would still bring it in at under 400 allowing you time to save up the money for a new gpu like a hd 7850 the 1gb version can be had around the £110 mark the 2gb version 140+

Don't think WoW plays great on IGP (HD3000 / HD4000), but if you think you can wait a bit and have a spare 150, why not.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail £169.99
1 x Asus P8Z77-V LX2 Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £79.99
1 x Western Digital Caviar Blue 320Gb SATA 6Gb/s 16MB Cache - OEM (WD3200AAKX) £49.99
1 x OCZ CoreXtreme 500w '80 Plus' Power Supply £32.99
1 x BitFenix Merc Alpha Gaming Case - Black £28.99

EDIT : *** actually, HD3000 looks OK on lower settings, maybe lower resolution. 3570K HD4000 better, more expensive ***

There's always the Trinity alternative, the IGP is much better than the HD 4000:

a review on how the a10 performs with wow: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/a10-5800k-a8-5600k-a6-5400k,3224-16.html

And a comparison against the HD 4000: http://www.hardwareheaven.com/revie...pu-performance-review-gaming-performance.html

Not to mention unlike the Intel i3 you can overclock the A10 if you feel like it.

If you can get free delivery, that pretty knocks the build into your budget.
