Is it possible to buy a all-in-one router for VM?

Hi guys

In my office I've got a Virgin Media cable modem, a netgear wireless router and that links to a 5 port gigabit switch which the computers link through.

This seems daft.

Does no one not just sell a all in one gigabit router for cable networks?
At the very least a cheap gigabit router with wireless? 2 devices would be better than 3!

Cheers

VM don't allow you to use anything other than the cable modem they supply, so you're stuck with that for the time being.

As for gigabit ethernet/wireless routers, there are a few to choose from:

I guess only the Edimax could be considered cheap.

Thanks for the links. The D-Link routers of old were pretty awful in my experience. Is that D-Link model worth having?

I ignore OCUK reviews because I never see them post the bad ones :)

Not many reviews but a little bit more here.

It seems to be a decent router.

Would be nice to have an all-in-one solution.

I was going to try fitting a DOCSIS card to my Cisco 1841 until I found that they were close to £500....with no config available and no guarantee it would work it would have been an expensive gamble.
