I was looking at these i5 2500k overclocked bundles, since I have no idea how to overclock myself.

Does anyone know if it's possible to specify which motherboard they come with and have more RAM installed? I'd like a motherboard with 2x LAN so I can connect my xbox to it too, and I'd like to upgrade it from 2x2gb to 2x4gb RAM.

Thanks

If you call up they can do it for you. But apparently it isn't hard at all and there's loadsa support in these forums. I'm sure if you started a thread in the overclocking section people would walk you through the whole thing, and you'll save a lot of money doing it yourself.

I did send them a webnote asking exactly which motherboard it came with and if it was possible to change the motherboard and RAM to the things I said above. All they answered was which motherboard and didn't address my 2 other questions, so that's why I asked here.

And sk82jack I think you're right, I really should read the guides here and learn how to do it myself. I can always ask if I get stuck on something. Thanks anyway :)

You can do this a lot cheaper yourself.

"Radon Torosaur" Intel Core i5 2500K 3.30GHz @ 4.40GHz Overclocked Bundle - Gigabyte £409.98 + £30 for a motherboard with 2 NIC's + £40 to increase to 8GB RAM = Approx £480

or

MSI P67A-GD65 Intel P67 (socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard - (Sandybridge) ** B3 REVISION ** £132.00

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor with FREE Operation Flashpoint Red River Game £161.99

Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit £79.99

Corsair A50 High-Performance CPU Cooler £27.98 (you could change this if you wish)

TP-Link Gigabit PCI Network Adapter £5.99

Arctic Cooling MX-4 Thermal Compound (4g) £7.14 (may not be needed depending on what cooler you buy)

Comes to around £415 and we could show you how to overclock in around 2 seconds. In fact this is how you do it:
