Is it possible to get a ati graphics card for around £50 that will play these...

hi,

trying to upgrade 1 of my comps to allow it to play wow,borderlands 2 and maybe some other games like skyrim etc.

please tell me if this is possible for a very tight budget of £50 or around that but still close :)

the system specs are old on this

AMD athlon dual core 7750 black
GA-MA770-UD3
DDR2 4G
 
^^ The advantage there is getting dx 11.1 where as you might only dx10 with 2nd hand route

depends what you call playable. I would assume second hand for that price but its possible a bargain card at that price does it

Usually the cut down cards are worse then an older but 1st tier (in its day) card
 
Agreed, used market may hold the best options, looking around 5850/5870/6850/6870 for that budget. Though I have no idea what mining has done to used prices on these card.

Alternatively from the green camp you may be able to snap something up like a 470 maybe 480 for that kind of money :)
 
For £50 you better off trying to find a 2nd hand 6850/5850/7790...all of them would be much faster than the 5750. Also you would be crazy to get a card with just 512MB nowadays...especially at £50 on 2nd hand.
