¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm not interested in getting an aftermarket headunit, and I'm wondering if there's a way I can get Aux in on the standard headunit?

It's got the standard ISO connectors, but there's also an extra connector there which looks like it could be for a CD-changer or steering wheel controls... or even Aux in!

Is there I way I can find the pin out of this extra connector?

doubt it man, i trained as a mechanic in college and have worked in a garage, most cars that have AUX in come with them even on the most basic moddels and even if you can pop one in its going to cost more than a whole new cd player that does have one.

There are many cars that an aux in can be added easily and cheaply.

Whilst I cannot help specifically (my post is more in response to Stu's "information"), My first port of call would be speaking to Nissan to see if any of those Micras came with an aux in, and if there is a part number for an appropriate cable/device - you may find that this was a simple cable, or it could be a feature of a completely different audio unit.

Beyond that, check eBay, autoleads etc. For example, there is a cheap cable available for the standard headunit (non-CDDJ only) in the MK2 Focus that plugs into the CD Changer input.

I nearly went to college and have been in a few garages, my advice is that you should start digging for cable part numers/headunit model numbers and see what owners club info turns up. You never know there might be MicraLoversNZ or something that has everything you need pictured out for you!

Is it a tape or CD headunit?

There's no mention of Aux in the manual, but I got this car 2nd hand so I have no idea if Aux in was an optional extra from the factory...

I'm not really interested in fitting another headunit, even though the current radio uses ISO connectors...

Thanks, I suspect that there must be some way of getting Aux in somehow, as I know that better specced models than mine came with a 6 disc changer...

I need to go to dealer soon anyway due to a recall so I'll ask the dealer about it then. :)

It's a CD headunit, here's a photo:

I've got a model number and I know it's made by Blaupunkt, I think I'll have a hunt on a few other Micra forums as I did try a UK one and didn't get a single reply when asking about adding Aux in... :(
