Hello

My renewal is due in two weeks, so I've started receiving phone calls from people who give me a quote last year

So far my current insurers are the cheapest but have only dropped the price 3 quid a month

Is it possible to haggle with them to get it a little lower

I've got two years no claims no points, 30 years old and I'm paying £127 a month. Seems a bit high to me?

Any advice appreciated

It's a vauxhal movano. So it business use

I phoned them and that's the price they gave me, I've got a few companies ringing me at the moment but there coming back at £2000

Also my quote it for 3rd party. It goes up another £800 for fully comprehensive.

My area must be bad, or at least that's what they all tell me. It's ol post code

So you can save £200 off the bat by using an interest free credit card and spreading the repayments over 12 months...

My house is blacklisted from the people who lived here before me. Me and the wife can't get a tin of beans on credit. Planning on moving next year unless I can find a way to fix it. A friend of mine had same problem had police coming from all over the country looking for a bloke, nothing he could do so he moved. His wife was on 50k and he was on 30k and wouldn't touch them

That doesn't sound right? Creditors aren't allowed to take the credit history of people who have lived there in the past into account when assessing you for credit:

I've not looked at that site, just about to go out but it is wrong. Even my landlord can't get credit and she ownes 18 houses. She said when someone moves out she gets a catalogue and orders stuff from that house to help the first order discount. Just what I've been told about it all but I can't get nothing and my wife can't where we could before

That's a good saving that

I've still got two weeks before its due so ill keep shopping about and try and get it down a bit more

I would be happyish at £100 a month going off what I've been paying so far. The year before it was £181 for 11 months

Golfs are cheap to insure for some reason. Or at least that's what I found when I first pasted my test.

Oh well looks like I'll have to take it on the chin.

I was with More Than last year. This year I went through the specialist insurers and had some good results by playing Adrian Flux, A-Plan Insurance and City Insurance off against each other. Went with Adrian Flux in the end.

That's who I'm with now. No updates guys. Wedding anniversary weekend

Done a little bit more shopping

£222 deposit
£88 x 10 months

Which is around £100 cheaper than my renewal

My in-law has given me a alfa romao 156 on a 02 plate and they want roughly the same, so I decided to try a multi car policy and they want £3700

Between the two there only worth around 3k

Maybe there isn't supposed to be a blacklist but there is

Even the guy from Virgin media told me the last person ripped them off so I need to put down a deposit. I've lived here for 4 years so they must keep a record of it and so will other company's

The thing is you can phone up any company like sky, Virgin, gas, electric and pretend your someone else and get there services installed. So they probably now keep a record of it all

Managed to get it down to £109 x 10 with my current insurance. This week I'm going to ring everyone I can find on Google

One question I have thought, I got my provisional when I was 17 but didn't start my lessons till I was 25 and pasted straight away, I rang a company for a quote two days ago and they said that when they ask how long I've had my licence for it starts when I got my provisional. Is it the same for all company's? Don't want to say that and then they void my insurance if i have a crash
