When running at max or near max overclock I have all the power saving features turned off for stability. On the other hand if for example all I'm going to be doing is browsing the interwebs or office work and no gamimg I run at stock speeds.

If you want to have power saving features such as reduced vcore when idle then you need to set the vcore to auto or have the ability to set an offset ( not available I tihnk on most MSi motherboards). From experience most boards when set to auto vcore either send to much voltage into the chip for a moderate OC or not enough if you are going quite high.

Moreover sometime (more often than not in my limited experience) the power saving features make the overclock somewhat unstable. I did notice that when I had EIST and C1E features on I was getting a lot of BSODs @4.8ghz on my 2500k. WHen I turned them all of and had constant vcore the system was rock solid.
