Got the stock cooler on my e7200 and i want this htpc as quite as possible but without it getting stupidly hot

The case in question is...

What would be a good cooler, which would fit. BUT i dont want extra noise :)

Thanks

The chap i brought the HTPC, mentions this

"Q6600 G0 stepping (overclocked once then left at stock) & Arctic Freezer Pro7"

So i am assuming same one, just a different version?

Nah not at all, i would love a self contained watercooling loop like a corsair. Still may look into it.

TBH, with silent mode on, its no different. As the hotter the pc gets, the louder the fan is. lol

They are 120mm fans, but no joke they shift about 30CFM flat out. You JUST feel the wind. I had to use a strip of toilet paper to check i had them blowing. TBH they dont do a lot, but there quiet.

May look into a corsair now "shakes first in air" more money lol

I'm tempted to try and mount it at the back. But pretty sure it wong fit :(

Getting an SSD ASAP as well.

Selling my corsair800d well it's sold.

The project BRINGTHERAIN starts ;)

it definitely wont fit at the back. that only supports an 80mm fan, adn you need a 120mm fan slot to put the rad in

if you mean at the far side of the 120mm fans, then that could work if it fits (thickness of the rad may be an issue)

Ah yeah it was 80mm i remember reading that. I though about getting an 80mm fan then realised it would be loud.

I was thinking today for a split second about getting one of those old thermaltake water cooling loops. They came with the thermaltake armour, but they are probably all knackered now.

Thing is with the corsair H50 it should be quiet really :D

Hmmmm my biggest fear, is i wont be able to mount the rad on the side of the case, it will have to go in the middle. I dont know how that will effect the performance.

My friend has one, that he is putting in a build. May just pop round tom and have a look...

Do you have one? Are they quiet do you know?

Arctic cooling freezer 7 pro, small, silent & pretty good :)

Just got one of these from the MM £9 lol

Hopefully it will fit :D Im sure it will

Gonna pop my cherry as well, never fitted a cooler or applied thermal paste. I am ****ing it now :(

I did once try to fit a cooler, i used a WHOLE tube of thermal paste. Needles to say i was young and it never ever worked ROFL!
