Is it possible to run open office portable off a dvd-r disc?

Do I just download open office portable apps and then install it to a folder and then burn it to a dvd-r disc and run direct from disc then?

Is it also possible to install it on a multi session disc so I can continuously keep adding new open office presentation files among other things to the disc?

I've seen this done from a USB stick, that would probably be easier, cant see why it wouldnt work from a DVD though.

ok I got it working, but it's very slow loading, I will try modifying my usb stick now
