Is it possible to trial Vista?

Yeah stay with xp forever, nice one!

It does seem pretty stupid not to offer a trial version, all that will do is reduce possible customers, it can also make people suspiscious that they aren't offering a trial for a reason, people may think that they are not offering a trial because vista is crap.

office 2007 was released the same day as vista and you can get a 60 day trial of that. it does seem a little odd you can't vista yet. but i'm sure it will come along at some point. :)

They've never done a trial version for any windows iirc, for one because pretty much everyone will upgrade in the end. Whatever you say now :p

Well you can install Vista without a key and even run it for 30 days without activation... so that sounds like a trial to me!

Thats not a trial, because you would have course have to buy it to install it in the first place.

Pretty much everyone who uses Windows will be using Vista eventually, why not just buy it now? I can honestly I've had no major problems with Vista HP, just waiting for Ideazon to release a driver for my Zboard.

Because theres no current reason to? Add to that bugs and applications not working which people seem to be posting about.

Well, I've used Vista Business for one month and haven't had any problems. The problems i did have were easily fixable with settings and updated drivers. So, I tend to agree with the folks who are saying everyone will, eventually be on Vista. There's no reason not to. Maybe not right now, but the time will come. ;)

Some games not working is why I'm holding off, may go dual boot, will decide when my rig (and a copy of Home premium) arrives today.

And XP x64!
And XP x86 back in October 2001. I remember I had a copy of RTM on a 180 day eval on a disc I ordered from MS for free.

I sort of expected them to offer it again this time.
