Ive got this server relatively cheap and was if i could install windows 7, add a graphics card and use it as a gaming PC. The motherboard has drivers for windows 7 on the manufacturer's website. Its only got a 8xPCI-e socket but that should not really bottle neck anything up to a GTX 560 by much.

Is this possible or would i just be wasting my time?

2 x Quad E5405
4GB DDR2 Ram
2 x 150GB RAPTOR DRIVES
3 x 500GB DRIVES
DVD WRITER
720W 3 UNIT REDUNDANT PSU
SUPERMICRO MOTHERBOARD X7DCL-I

Are you just guessing or do you have any expierience in this?

It's an educated guess, your chips are only 2GHz so it won't be great in older games which don't have particularly good multi-thread support, however with a decent graphics card it will still run most stuff pretty well.

Got this up and running with win7 and my GTX 470.
This thing is crazy loud, which i will sort later.
Seems to be working ok.

Was wondering if i could overclock some, bios is ruled out there are no options. Any chance of overclocking via software?

Edit - Kinda ov plays crysis :) Around 40FPS using fraps, on ultra high, no aa, 1050 x 1650 with no OC which is not too bad.
