¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Sometimes I use Firefox to browse, but I often use Chrome and Safari also.

Now I know I can use various plug-ins for various browsers, but surely it's possible to use 1 program or firewall in order to block ads from all browsers?

Could a custom hosts file do it maybe? I'm not too concerned about it, but it would be a pretty handy thing to have.

Admuncher is your answer. Blocks ads for any browser you run as well as apps like MSN Messenger. Awesome proggie and one of the few I can recommend without reservation.

Yes, Its possible. Some version of Norton can do it. What other programs do it however, I don't know.
I'd rather set my computer on fire than install norton on it, but thanks for the suggestion anyway :p
i have a host file with 1000s of ad hosts in it, make sure you do 0.0.0.0 www.googleads.com

cause if you do 127.0.0.1 that can slow it down.

you can also use peerblock which works outside of the browser
Cheers, I'll remember the 0.0.0.0 trick. Would it be possible to use the same list that firefpx's adblock plugin uses, I think it's called something like easylist?

I'll look at peerblock also. :)

Looks ideal, I'll check it out, thanks. :)
