moving to a new house and interested in a 40 inch tv screan of which i havent chosen yet. id like my pc to go into the lounge and be connected to a new seperates hifi and a sky box. id like the pc to connect to the tv so all my movies on my hdd are easily accesible but also id like to run a second monitor in the corner of the room to run windows and other stuff whilst watching normal tv. the pc id like would be as quiet as possible and small form as possible. dont mind the idea od watercooling but will still need fans im sure. ill also need a wireless mouse and keyboard so that i can use them anywhere in the front room ie the separate work station or the main tv.

ive got a budget of 2k for the pc and OS. ive got a samsung syncmaster 930bf monitor for the work station but ill need the rest.

so in a nut shell id like a media machine with the ability to play all the latest games on a big screen.

can it be done for such a budget?

You can certainly build a very good PC for £2k, although bear in mind that most full HD screens will set you back around £800-1200 for a 40" one.

yes that is in a seperate budget. so not a problem. so any ideas for a super sff pc thatll do all of the above that is going to be pride and place in my lounge so therefore must be as quiet as pos?

I think you may have to knock one up yourself from components chosen for their lack of noise & compromise slightly on cost & performance. My real piece of advice is don't get a plasma as they are very prone to screen burn.
