getting DX 11 next year..................are any games going to be DX11...especially Crysis 2, Doom 4 ?

if not, what's the point, i may as well get two GTX 295s.............after all, the GTX 300 will be very expensive, plus not much more powerful than a 295.

and finally, will i notice much difference between DX10, 11.........my guess is no!

i'm not happy about spending 350 to 400 quid next May on a card.....but i think it depends on how expensive the GTX 300 will be.

New cards will have greater performance, and will lower the price of the DX10.1 cards, meaning more bang for the money, with the new amd cards coming out in september, you could afford to wait.

DirectX 10 certainly took a couple of years before any games used features from it extensively. Even now, all games have DirectX 9 support, and you wouldn't be able to tell unless you compared the two side by side.

I think waiting til the DX11 cards come out, unless they have some killer feature that makes them miles better, then picking up a DX10 card for cheap, will last you easily as long until games that use DX11 come out :)

yes maybe by next May the GTX 300 will drop in price...that is if it's out in january.........BUT the 295 hasn't dropped much has it !!!!!!!!!

This same questions comes up every time there's a new DX just around the corner. And going by past experience, you'll have 2 or 3 supported games on the list initially (usually crap ones) and it'll take 2 years for it to become mainstream.

DX10 never really took off, I bet you'll see most new games supporting dx9 or dx11 in the future (XP or Win7)

Just get it over with and buy a 4890. In my opinion, anyone who buys a GTX295 is crazy and obviously doesn't like having money in their bank account, never mind people who buy two of them.
