Is it safe to build a 7800X3D system yet?

I want to upgrade my CPU/MOBO etc and waited for reviews of the 7800X3D but now it seems several Mobos are killing CPUs as well as the MOBO dying when they over volt. While this was ASUS boards at first seems other manufacturers boards are doing the same. What with the high price of the new boards and the fact they can destroy your PC should I just wait four months until this problem gets sorted out? I'm not unhappy with my current rig I just would like to see my 4090 stretch its legs and 'play' MSFS2020 which I've owned for over a year but can't play at decent settings.

Thanks, I already have the cooler. Not sure what an EXPO kit even is so will have to do some reading. It would be nice to be able to buy a board, plug it all in and play and get 90% of the performance there and then rather than having to do homework and make multiple bios adjustments to get it to work as it should. Hopefully that won't be the case but MOBO prices seem grossly inflated these days so even 'not expensive' ones are really quite expensive but that's a different rant. It does tempt me to stick with Intel as I'm not sure AMDs SOC 1.35V+ specs exactly fill me with confidence.

I guess I'll wait until September when the problems will be fixed, I won't have to flash the bios and it will be easier/prices will come down.
