Is it safe to delete \appdata\local\temp?

I have 4 gigs of data in this folder and I am just about out of space on my SSD drive, can I delete this stuff without worrying something will go wrong?

Perfectly safe, I'd do a reboot first just to make sure none of the files are currently in use by anything.

4GB! When's the last time you did a Disk Cleanup! :eek:

[or do you use iPlayer or similar?]

CCleaner should get rid of all the junk in there too, along with lots of other things elsewhere.

windows will remake the folder anyway wouldn't it?

As per the name, the files are temporary so they should not be filling up in there. If an application is forgetting to remove them though, you can delete them manually without harm.
