Is it safe to delete the partition highlighted in the image below?

I was doing a clean install of Windows 8.1 and the installer created this partition , visible to the OS which has reserved 30GB off my SSD.

It’s marked as “Active” so not sure if it’s safe to delete it or not. Previously I did an install of 8.1 on the same machine and this partition wasn't created.

is c drive your windows drive then? if so then I think your ok to delete the g partition, can always setup a restore point before you do it ect,and try a startup repair with windows disc if it doesn't boot afterwards

Have you changed any parts recently before that instal, like your motherboard for instance ?

If you have moved from a basic bios mobo to a UEFI bios mobo that partition is required, do not delete it.

I think I was just having a blonde moment.

The extra "partition" was the USB stick that I installed Windows off and not an additional partition created by Windows :o

I suppose I wasn't expecting to see it in Disk Management.

Thanks for help anyway :)
