Not sure if this is the right section to be posting this.

As the title says, I want to put one of these:

INTO one of these:

I know it won't work if you switch it the other way around. I will be using it to extend my router/modem. I'm assuming it's safe?

I might be daft, but why would the other way around not work? Is the cord upto the unit not the same wether it is just the units own cord or extended?
Or is the thing not working, that you don't need the protector extended, but the distance to your router....
My take on it, with no real knowledge about it is... as long as the surge protector is between the wall socket and your equipment, it ought to work.

As above, I'd put the surge protector in the wall & the extension into that then it covers all 6 of the extension outlets.

Or. If you have a screw driver and a pair of cutters/wire strippers/a knife/teeth, go to a electrical shop, buy some long power wire, and rewire it yourself. I've done it enough times.

Ignore everyone who says it will work, obviously it's not going to work, in-fact soon as you plug them in, it will open a open a black hole and you and the entire world will be sucked in it. :/

Of course it will work.

You'd ought to see some of the multiple extensions I run sometimes when I'm hoovering my car.

Going of course a tad, if you plug a UPS into a surge protector, that will void the warranty/guarantee. The reason being, if the UPS ever became faulty it might be the surge protectors fault.
