Is it safe to say I've been fired

I work for an agency and I had my recent shifts cancelled because there where too many workers onsite for the workload , yet they have put reposted applications for the role on there website ,

My assignment finish date is still unspecified and it says in the contract in light of a termination the employee should be notified immediately ,

Is it more likely I've been canned and they just don't say otherwise except works been cancelled

Why would an agency keep hiring and reposting for the role days after the work appeared to be drying up.

Makes me think those shifts cancelled mean that's me out the door

I asked the agency and they said they had been given information , don't really know what that means and when I pushed it they wouldn't elaborate , just wondering has anyone been canned from a temp position before is it contracted that they tell you you have been terminated or do they just not say anything

They very may well have over recruited but yet are still advertising the position, they said there myt be work with a similar company .
I don't know if that means if for whatever reason either to fill days this company has no need for me or wether that contract is finished , but yes there still advertising for recruiting.
But if you say they should tell you your contract is terminated , then I will put it down to the knowledge I have that my shifts were cancelled until further notice , and try the agency Monday
