Is it safe to use 4 pin CPU extension?

Is it safe to use this extension for CPU 4 pin cable, which is short unfortunately?

Just forget 4 pin "ATX12V" CPU power cables with Intels and get 8 pin "EPS12V" extension like this:

It's rated for high enough output to feed CPUs by itself.

And forums rules forbid naming/linking OcUK's competitors.

Don't buy that cable you linked to as 20awg is far too thin for a EPS cable. They are usually 16awg or 18awg. Look for something like this or this. The Akasa is the cheap option and looks it too, the Silverstone looks much better with the individually braided wires.

There's zero need to use that old 4 pin connector unless overclocking.
