Is it safe to use Ccleaner reg fixer?

Well I tried Ccleaner tonight and scanned my systems registry with it and it found loads of unused DLL's and missing links, I decided to fix all and it made a backup of my old registry I am just thinking if it has messed anything up will it be OK to just run the old reg file and it will restore all?

I used it once to clean my registry, it went pear shaped. Probably just me being unlucky, I'd use it again though.

Just let it backup your reg first, you should be fine though. I've never had a problem.

same here except i won't use it again.....

i use regseeker. been using it for ages with no problems...

Been using CCleaner for a few months now, including the reg cleaner. Haven't had a problem yet so I'd say it's safe to use

Thanks for the response, I did clean the reg and it seems fine at the moment, I have the backup reg file just in case, seems a good bit of software, much faster then using disk cleanup
