Right...

Its done...OC'd...i hope.

Settings

CPU Frequency = 460
Vcore = 1.288 (is this high?)
Multi = x9
Speed = 4150Mhz
RAM = 920Mhz
NB = Stock
RAM = 2.2V
TEMPS
Idle = 27 - 31C
Load(under Orthos) = 52C

Seems my crappy 800Mhz RAM is holding back anything above this.

Im not going to pop the E8400 am I?

P.S. Sorry about all the threads....:p

Everything looks good, temps are nice and low and the vcore is well below the 1.4v that most reccomend on the 45nm chips, nice oc.:)

Being honest with you if my readings came back like that I'd push for more as they look well sound/safe.
run it for a week keeping an eye on everything & then either push for more or forget about it & enjoy.

To test the stability of the cpu overclock its best to use small fft test, blend is an all round test which tests both cpu and ram.

Anything higher and it errors in orthos within seconds, my ram isnt upto the job. (800Mhz GeIL Black Dragon). I was hoping for 4.5Ghz on air, is it possible?

I'd say the CPU is capable of more, but unfortunately if you are at the limits of your RAM then there's not much else you can do.
