is it still a kerfuffle using 2 consoles and 1 gamertag?

I now have 2 consoles. 1 in the living room and 1 in the bedroom on the projector. Is it still a case of recovering my gamertag on each console? Which is not really a solution. I guess I'm hoping the ability of using external storage has maybe given us the ability to move saves and tags a little easier?

Its 360 btw

I believe you can just stick the profile on a memory card and use it from that.

not at all, I alternate more than once per day using my Xbox gamertag stored on my 60GB hdd between 2 consoles.

The only thing that goes weird is the "install game" feature, sometimes it realises which console it's installed on and sometimes it doesn't. mostly it doesn't.

Yep.

Failing that, stick your gamertag on a USB stick or a memory card and just move that from one console to the other.

yes this miffed me off aswell as i have one down stairs that my son likes to play on but cannot transfer data across very well yet the ps3's work wonderfully like this

This new update now allows you to download the profile to the console and it just logs in as normal on either console. All it says is that "you were logged in to another console" or something like that.
